About Terry

The woman behind
the stillness.

I’m a Nurse Practitioner and wellness retreat leader who creates intentional spaces for high-achieving people to deeply rest, reconnect with themselves, and reset away from the demands of everyday life.

How it began

Disconnect & Reset was born from my own understanding of burnout, overstimulation, and the emotional weight so many people silently carry while continuing to perform at a high level. Working in healthcare — especially in high-acuity cardiology and primary care — I saw how disconnected people had become from rest, nature, nourishment, and themselves. I also saw it in myself.

Before retreats, my life centered around healthcare, leadership, and patient care. But wellness, for me, was never just physical. Yoga, movement, meditation, nature, and intentional rest became essential tools in my own life. Over time, I realized people didn’t just need vacations — they needed environments where they felt emotionally safe enough to exhale.

Disconnect & Reset was created to be more than a retreat. It is an intentionally curated experience for restoration, nervous-system regulation, deep rest, and meaningful connection — spaces that feel elevated yet grounding. Luxurious, but deeply human.

In her words

I believe rest is essential, not a luxury. In a world that constantly rewards productivity, performance, and overstimulation, many people have forgotten what it feels like to truly pause. Disconnect & Reset was created as a response to that reality.

My approach to wellness is grounded, intentional, and deeply human. I believe healing can happen in simple moments — nourishing meals, movement, meaningful conversations, silence, nature, laughter, stillness, and feeling emotionally safe enough to finally exhale.

As a Nurse Practitioner, I’ve witnessed the effects of chronic stress, burnout, emotional exhaustion, and disconnection firsthand. But I’ve also seen the power of intentional environments, rest, community, mindfulness, and preventative wellness.

These retreats are not about perfection or escaping life forever. They are about reconnecting to yourself in a meaningful way — and remembering that you deserve care, too.

The clinical thread

Why the nurse in me
shapes everything.

Being a Nurse Practitioner shapes how I lead and hold space. My clinical background gives me a deeper awareness of stress, burnout, and nervous-system overload — and the importance of preventative wellness.

I don’t position the retreats as medical experiences. But my healthcare background influences every detail: cleanliness, organization, nourishment, emotional awareness, structure, and an environment where guests feel genuinely supported and safe.

What we don’t do

Softness over
performance.

  • Forced vulnerability or intense emotional sharing
  • Rigid schedules or early-morning obligations
  • Aggressive cleanses or fasting
  • Performative spirituality
  • Any expectation to be “on”

Guests move at their own pace and honor what their mind and body need.
